I chose this business for an oil change because of the great reviews but was not pleased with my service. The person working at the desk told me an inappropriate joke while I was waiting which was unprofessional and uncomfortable for me as a female waiting alone in the store. He also chastised me for being 3000 miles over when I was "supposed to" get an oil change (according to the sticker from the last place I took it) even though I told him that the manufacturer of my car recommends only getting oil changed every 7500 miles. He found several things that needed replacing on my car - windshield wipers, brake pads, tires - and was trying to pressure me into buying them from them. I walked out the door and will never be back.
I made an appointment here to get my brakes looked at and had an amazing experience. The customer service is phenomenal and they even showed me my brakes and explained to me what needed replacing and why. I wasn't able to bring my car in the next morning because I need to get to work before they opened, so they actually drove out to West Des Moines, picked up my car, and brought it back to their shop in Altoona to work on it! I was incredibly impressed with them and will definitely be returning whenever I have car problems.
I went to car-x after a dealer in another town told me I needed new breaks soon. The guys at Car-x told me I didn't need breaks for a while longer, but I did need new tires. They got the service done quickly and professionally. I learned the hard way to schedule services in advance to avoid a long wait, although they do offer walk in service. It's super easy to schedule an appointment through their website. Car-x is doing all my oil changes from now on!
They were amazing! two other places didnt have time to patch my tire and these guys got me right in and fixed up!
We were on a road trip from Colorado to Michigan and had the CV joint go out on my nieces car. Got to the shop about 20 minutes before closing time on a Friday night and they got us in first thing the next day. We got back on the road at 11am. Had a great experience with this location. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. We were very appreciative of them and the quality and quick service they provided. Thank you guys so much.
