So to sum it up, if you place a order through the Altoona, Ia location- youll need to be patient as you will not know nor receive a call when your items are in and dont plan on any management to correct the issue.
Also i asked for the corporate number and was told it wouldnt do anything as it would just kick back to the store. So its like a revolving door of no customer service at the Altoona, Ia location.
Certainly several steps above all of it's other competition located in Altoona. The displays are always well maintained & the products are generally high quality. Lowe's actually sells name brand power tools, their appliances are contemporary, superior light fixtures, quality lumber, etc.
There is usually sufficient help; they tend to stay within the confines of a hardware store v competition, so you encounter knowledgeable help instead of stockers scrambling to get groceries on the shelves.
I have placed mulple orders through the store - 1st order, i never received a call that it was in - second order i was told that it would be in with 5 days - and it wasnt so i followed up with mgmt. and was told it would be in 7-14 and he could see it on a truck but couldn't tell me when it was going to be in. And today i went to pick up my order and guess what it was there it was shipped to the store 30 mins away, and they said this has been happening since they updated their system, so i was told it would be three weeks out to get it to the store in which again is 30 mins away. So i asked for a manager and she was about as helpless as the other mangers as they have NO customer service leval at all it is there way or the highway and not willing to step out of box to correct the matter. I suggested that they call Urber to pick it up and deliver and she said they could not do that.
Hopefully he's on a management position.
Decided to gut my kitchen after 20 years of nasty old everything. Randy is cabinets went way above to assist me in everything! Personally walked me through the store from appliances then flooring and plumbing. Tiik me to customer service and rang everything up himself and made sure I got the best financing! Brian in appliances was very knowledgeable too. I would give 10 stars if I could!
