I am back at the Adventureland Inn, a place I visit probably two or three times per year. The place has been fairly consistently good over the 42 years that I have been a paying customer here. I live a couple hours away but have family in the area. This is a good place to come for a getaway, or when coming to Adventureland Amusement Park. The rooms are nice, particularly the family suites, which are poolside. They have two separate indoor courtyards, both have pools and both are lined with rooms that overlook them. The rooms are always clean, and the beds are comfortable. The courtyards are always noisy with happy children playing in the pool but at night the rooms are quiet and sleep is accomplished easily. The availability of food has been sparse over the years although the new sports bar is promising and the food that I have eaten there was tasty. At the present time room service meals are nonexistent, but you can get food from the sports bar “to go“.

The location was good. The rooms and decor were a bit dated. Staff was nice enough. A good place to take kids to swim but I feel it could all be updated.

Perfect hotel for little kids. Rooms were big and decently remodeled. Balconies in pool area are large. The shallow pool was nice and warm but the chlorine was pretty strong. The other big pools could have been warmer. They do patrol the pools all day and I wish they would let you bring in outside food because the pizza at the restaurant isn't very good.

This place is a great value! Definitely geared towards younger kids, 0-8 year olds maybe, as the pools are shallow and the slides are small. But it was great for that our little kids. Outside food is not allowed so that is a bit of a bummer if you don't have a pool side room. We ordered pizza and boneless wings. The pizza was pretty flavorless, but the wings were quite good.

New menu is great. Very family friendly. Only complaint is that they need to get better beers on tap. They have a TON of taps, but they're not utilizing them with good beer. Other than that, GREAT spot for food, apps, drinks and sports! I'd go as far to say that it's the best sports bar in the DSM area.
